Design Internship with 826 Valencia
826 Valencia, a nonprofit focused on providing one-on-one educational opportunities for San Francisco students, is seeking design interns for the current semester. Though unpaid, this internship with a nationally recognized nonprofit will provide invaluable, on-the-ground design
experience. Interns will work with 826's Design Director on projects ranging from creating simple signage, event materials, and promotional materials to producing student chapbooks.
826 Valencia is a vibrant work environment, bustling with staff, interns, students, and volunteers. Our design staff is incredibly supportive and willing to teach and assist. By the end of the internship, designers will have gained skills in both design and navigating within a professional,
nonprofit work environment.
Requirements:
* Minimum commitment of at least16 hours per week for at least three months
* Proficiency with CS3 Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required; experience with web-based programs such as Flash and InDesign plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
