I cannot get into some courses in the DAI Department. Can I take any of these courses at a Community College?

We understand the difficulty of getting all the courses and we have identified some Acceptable Equivalent Courses at SF State and at City College of San Francisco (CCSF).

PHYS 101:

We will accept the following in place of PHYS 101:

• PHYS 111 (SFSU)
• PHYS 2A (CCSF)

ACCT 300:

We will accept the following in place of ACCT 300:

• ACCT 301 (SFSU)
• ACCT 100 and 102 (SFSU)
• ACCT 1 and 2 (CCSF)
• ACCT 51 and 52 (CCSF)

(Note: We require TWO lower division accounting courses to count for ONE upper-division (i.e. 300-level) accounting course.)

ECON 305:

We will accept the following in place of ECON 305:

• ECON 306 (also listed as ENVS 306) (SFSU)
• DS 110 (SFSU)
• MGMT 407 (SFSU)
• ECON 100 and ECON 101 (SFSU)

MKTG 431 or MKTG 688:

We will accept the following in place of ECON 305:

• MKTG 434 (SFSU)
• MGMT 405 (SFSU)
• MGMT 354 (SFSU)
• MRKT 140 and MRKT 170 (CCSF)

(Note: Two lower division MKTG courses are required for one upper division course)

DAI 320: Drafting and Sketching for Design

We will accept two courses from CCSF to count for this requirement:

• GRPH 98A and GRPH 100A
• GRPH 98B and 100B (All at CCSF)

For BS in Visual Communication Design or BAIA Majors

We will accept three courses from CCSF to count for this requirement:

DAI 420 Rapid Visualization (Formerly DAI 424)

We will also accept the following in place of DAI 420:
DSGN 110 Rapid Visualization (CCSF)

DAI 421 Technical Drawing 2: 3-D Solid Modeling

We will also accept the following in place of DAI 421:
CAD 190 Advance CAD Introduction to Solidworks (CCSF)
