Greetings DAI Graduating Students,
In honor and celebration of our AY 2008-2009 Graduates, we are very pleased to announce the DAI Annual "Pre-Commencement" Reception and Ceremony, Sat, May 23rd, 2008, 9:30 - 11:45 AM
The "Pre-Commencement" Reception will take place from 9:30 - 10:50 am in the Creative Arts Building, CA 153, across from Knuth Hall.
The "Pre-Commencement" Ceremony will take place in Knuth Hall, from 11:00 am -11:45 AM.
The Graduating DAI Students and the Faculty will be seated on stage of Knuth Hall. Family, friends and loved ones will be seated in the Hall. DAI Faculty will be introduced and Graduating students will be "recognized" and tributes read to the audience by the department.
Due to a limited seating each graduating student will be allocated ONLY Three (3) tickets maximum. Knuth Hall seats only 300 persons and we have an estimated graduating class of about 100 students. If we receive less than 100 RSVP confirmations, we will make available additional tickets per student.
Graduating Students who wish to participate in the DAI "Pre-Commencement" Ceremony must RSVP by NO LATER than 4:00 PM, May 19th, 2009. RSVP must be received by email or phone call and include your full name and degree name that you applied for to dai@sfsu.edu or (415) 338-2211. Note: Department Office Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am-12noon and 1:00pm-4:30pm.
Students may submit a written tribute of 50 words, or less that will be read when the student is introduced at the Ceremony (the tribute is a short thank you family/friends/faculty/whoever was helpful during your years here at SF State).
(NOTE: Due to a limited time frame, the Word count limit will be strictly enforced)

The tickets should be available for pick up by no later than 9:00 AM, Tues, May 19th, 2009, if not sooner.
Students who may desire more than Three (3) guest tickets, will be informed of any available extra tickets by Wed, May 20th, After 2:00 PM.
