We believe sustainable technologies and practices as well as renewable materials to be among the critical factors in the success and future of the industry and recognize our role in directing public and private focus to these matters.

Operating within the Master of Arts in Industrial Arts program at SF State, the Furniture Institute of Technology and Sustainability creates valuable industry experience and opportunities for students and faculty while providing research and design services to industry partners.

These partners, including leadership from industry and academia, are committed to the shared responsibility of the industry, its people, and its resources.
