Professor Linder Wins Industrial Design Excellence Award

The Industrial Design Excellence Award, sponsored by the Business Week Magazine and the Industrial Design Society of America has awarded Martin Steven Linder Design (MSL Design) with a Bronze Award in the Business and Industrial Products category for their work on the Reveal Imaging Technologies CT-80 Explosive Detection System for use in airport security. The Industrial Design Excellence Awards are
dedicated to fostering business and public understanding of the importance of industrial design excellence to the quality of life and the economy.

The Annual DAI Student Exhibit for 2006, entitled Inveniam : Design to Inspire has just launched a website regarding the upcoming student exhibit which opens on Tuesday, May 16th and runs through Friday, May 19th in Jack Adams Hall in the Cesar Chavez Student Union. Four candidates have been selected to interview for dean of the College of Creative Arts. The campus community is invited to attend each candidate’s presentation and reception:

Monday, May 1: Joseph Lewis, dean of Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Knuth Hall of the Creative Arts building.

Wednesday, May 3: Wan-Lee Cheng, acting dean of SFSU’s College of Creative Arts, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Knuth Hall of the Creative Arts building.
