April 2009 and May 2009, Special Edition on “Universal Design at San Francisco State University,” Published on Newsletter of Design for All Institute of India. This two-month special issue was coordinated and edited by Prof. Ricardo Gomes, through the Design Center for Global Needs in the Department of Design and Industry.”

Established in 2004, Design for All Institute of India is a non-profit organization especially for the promotion of universal design. A long-term partner of Design for All Europe (EIDD), it publishes a monthly newsletter on the internet with the intention to educate individuals and influence public policy so that environments, products, services, and interfaced are designed to meet the needs of people of all ages and with different capabilities.

The 2009 annual DAI exhibit showcases a variety of exceptional works in product, graphic, digital media, industrial and environmental design. Opening night will be Wednesday May 13, 2009 in Jack Adams Hall, Cesar Chavez Student Center, from 6-9pm.
