Position Title: Assistant Professor of Design (Foundations) in the School of Design

Start Date: August, 2020

The School of Design at San Francisco State University offers an exciting opportunity for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Design Foundations beginning August 2020. We seek a colleague whose teaching and research interests include foundational topics such as principles and elements, form and space, sketching and prototyping, digital media, and other introductory design concepts and tools. We are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, through diversity, to the excellence of the academic community.

Position title: Assistant Professor of Industrial Design (Product) in the School of Design

Start Date: August, 2020

Position Summary: The position is in the School of Design at San Francisco State University.

The School of Design at San Francisco State University serves a diverse population of students in the areas of Visual Communication Design and Product Design at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our curricula promote a strategic, user-centered design process focused on problem solving. Our classes help students to build the technical, conceptual, critical, and collaborative skills required in design professions.
