School of Design 2018 Graduation Celebration

9:30 a.m.

“Continental Breakfast” Reception in DesignSpace FA 115

Graduates will pick up their “Shout-Outs” and Name Cards in FA 115 during the reception

10:30 a.m.

Doors to Knuth Hall in Creative Arts will open for seating

If families wish, they may come over and seat early

10:45 a.m.

Graduates Begin Lining Up for Knuth Hall in Creative Arts

Family will be seated in Knuth as grads are lining up. There will be ushers at the Hall to help

Graduates will be guided to the Green Room for the processional on stage

Faculty will be guided to Green Room

11:00 a.m.

Faculty enter the stage first

Graduates enter the stage on a First-Come basis

11:30 a.m.

Mari will give a brief introduction

The graduate sitting closest to Mari will hand her their name card

Mari reads the graduate’s name and then the area coordinator will read their Shout-Out (Prof Singer will read for Visual Communication, Prof Linn will read for Product, and Mari will read the MA in Design for Prof Chu)

Each graduate will then follow the graduate next to them until all the names are called and all the Shout-Outs are read

Applause is welcome and encouraged!

12:30 p.m.

Music will play and graduates leave the stage to more applause

Families and graduates meet in the hallway and hug
