We’re delighted to announce our sixth annual Design Against Fur (DAF) poster design contest.
For 2008’s contest, we’ve combined the Canadian and United States regional contests to form the North American Regional Contest. The Humane Society of the United States will be the regional focal point for this contest. Global Action Network (GAN.ca) will be Canada’s National Focal Point but Canadian submissions need to be mailed to The Humane Society of the United States. Registration is due March 11, 2008 submissions March 25, 2008.
You’ll find your North American Professor Quick Pac attached to make it easier for you to participate. And, we’d be very pleased if you could post the attached DAF promotional poster in your college or university. For 2008’s contest, we want the students to tell us how to stop consumers from buying and wearing fur. Note, we’re not requiring students to use specific words in posters this year.
For the very first time DAF has an International Flash Animation contest. Visit: http://infurmation.com/daf/2008/animation.html. And, we encourage all professors to sign up for information about the contest with or without your students participating. Please sign up here: http://infurmation.com/daf/2008/teachers.html.
This is a great opportunity for you and your students to participate in a contest that promotes a compassionate society that cares about the protection of animals. Speak up for animals – join DAF!
For the animals,
Ainslie Willock, International Director
Kathy Kessler, North American Director
