Welcome to the School of Design

The School of Design is an inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity and scholarship, and mirrors the wide range of cultural, artistic and scholarly interests in the San Francisco Bay Area.

NOTE: All Design undergraduate programs are impacted at the first-time freshman level and for upper-division transfer programs. Currently enrolled SFSU applicants must submit a supplementary application to the School of Design. Upper division transfer applicants, in addition to applying to the University, must also submit a supplementary application to the School of Design. See details under the BSID and BSVCD majors below.

Industrial Design Outreach (iDo)

iDo was founded in 2003 as a direct response to the lack of design course offerings in public high school curriculum in San Francisco.
