Runway Challenge 2006
Always wanted an opportunity to have your designs in a runway fashion show? Now is your chance!
The Student Fashion Association, SFA, is sponsoring the challenge!
Show Date: Tuesday, November 28th
Place: Jack Adams Hall, Student Union
Categories:
1. Design a new outfit out of recycled clothing
2. Design an outfit that represents Rock and Roll
3. Design an outfit that represents a style icon
4. Design an outfit for a woman living in the year 2020
Grab a garment submission form for each design you submit. DUE: Friday October 27th, 2006, SFA mailbox- Burk Hall 329- 5:00PM.

Garment Submission Form
Requirements:
1. There are four categories in the show, which are:
1) Designing a new outfit out of recycled clothing,
2) Design an outfit that represents Rock and Roll,
3) Design an outfit that represents an icon
4) Design an outfit for a woman living in the year 2020.
2. You may design and submit a piece in any or all categories, however may only design and submit one piece per category.
3. Only current SFSU Students, faculty and staff may enter.
4. The requirements for submitting a piece are that:
1.)The piece must be finished. We will not fix any broken zippers, closures, or hems. If anything falls off you will be notified so the garment can be repaired. If the garment is not repaired it will not be shown in the show.
2.) The piece must represent it’s category.
3.) The garment must be brought on its own hanger and covered in clear plastic.
4.) All complicated garments must be submitted with preferably a photo of how it is to be worn, or detailed instructions. We are not responsible for garment mishaps.
5. All garments are due Monday, November 27th between 10am to 6pm in BH 410.
6. Fittings are also going to be taking place on this day, which will be coordinated by you, your merchandiser and model(s).
7. Models will be provided. You may optionally provide your own models; however you MUST notify SFA before the rehearsal.
8. Show rehearsal Monday, November 13th between 10am to 9pm, due to Thanksgiving break.
9. Show Tuesday, November 28th between 3pm to 9pm.
