The School of Design @ SF State Supports Black Lives Matter

The School of Design at SF State is committed to social justice on our campus and beyond. We stand with Black Lives Matter in calling for sustainable transformation that begins with recognizing systemic racism and injustice. We stand with the campus community in acknowledging our collective responsibility to address these issues both inside and outside the classroom.

We support the Black Lives Matter Global Network mission to imagine and create a world free of anti-Blackness, where every Black person has the social, economic, and political power to thrive. We fully support their mission to co-create alongside comrades, allies, and family a culture where each person feels seen, heard, safe, and supported.

We acknowledge, respect, and celebrate differences and commonalities throughout our program. We fully support the Black Lives Matter fight for freedom and justice for Black people and, by extension, all people.
